About Creature Comforts
Creature Comforts Animal Hospital understands that one of the greatest concerns of pet owners is the comfort and well being of their family member. With this in mind, CCAH has been designed for maximum patient comfort.
Step into our office! Carefully selected
friendly, caring, animal-loving employees wait to greet you. Our warm and inviting waiting area,
with comfortable chairs, and toys for your pets will make your stay as pleasant as possible.
While in the hospital, your pets will be provided with as many comfort items as circumstances will allow. Every patient will have something soft and cozy to sit or sleep on in their kennel, and toys and other comforts from home are encouraged. Of course, many of these creature comforts will not be immediately visible to most clients, so tours will be available and recommended to clients on their first visit.
Welcome to Creature Comforts Animal Hospital, where pets are people too!
About Dr. Johnson
Aimee Johnson was born and raised in a small Texas town called Cash. She attended Texas A&M, with a major in Biomedical Sciences, and in 1996, was accepted for a coveted position at the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine.
Seeking a change of scenery after graduation, Dr. Johnson accepted her first position in Puyallup, Washington, a suburb outside of Seattle, where she practiced small animal medicine for one year. Deciding the Northwest wasn't her ideal location, she chose to move to Colorado, a state she had come to love while working on dude ranches during her summers between school years.
After a few years working as a relief veterinarian in Gunnison, Colorado, Aimee found a permanent job in Evergreen, Colorado, where she worked until purchasing Creature Comforts Animal Hospital.
Throughout her career as a small animal veterinarian, Dr. Johnson has always had a love of dentistry. She feels that of all the diseases we see in our pets, dental disease is the most common, the most ignored, and has one of the greatest possibilities for spreading generalized disease to our beloved pets. She also developed an open mind for alternative veterinary therapies and believes both Western and Eastern philosophies are important to provide the best preventative and long term care for our pets.
Aimee currently shares her life with a thirteen year old Border Collie, named Nevar, a Chocolate Lab, named Gus, and a Buckskin Quarter Horse, named Quanah. Needless to say, she adores them all.
Dr. Johnson and her staff place a high value on cultivating strong relationships with all of their clients. Please call Creature Comforts Animal Hospital today with any questions about Dr. Johnson or your pet's health.
Dr. Aimee Johnson is a reporter for the Veterinary News Network, offering reports on the latest health, safety and product information for your pets every other Wednesday on KKCO, Channel 11 News, at 6:30am and 12pm
